The winter months are filled with family gatherings and time spent with loved ones, but with these events also come more sickness and colds. Research suggests that common viruses replicate and live more efficiently in cold temperatures and lower humidity levels. People are also spending more time indoors in enclosed spaces which can increase risk of infection or illness.
